KUWAIT: Kuwait will be hit by fresh, dust-raising winds and a chance of scattered light to moderate rain, thundery at times, from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning. Acting Director of the Meteorological Department Dharar Al-Ali gave the forecast.

Weather maps and numerical models show Kuwait under the influence of an extension of a humid surface low, coinciding with an upper-level low, Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). This will cause low and medium clouds to build up and active southwesterly winds that raise dust.

Horizontal visibility will drop below 1,000 meters in some areas, he said, and waves will rise to more than six feet.

Clouds will increase gradually from Saturday afternoon, with cumulus clouds bringing scattered light to moderate rain that may be thundery at times. Conditions will start to improve gradually from Monday morning.
