Brazilian club Santos FC have reportedly appointed Neymar’s father and agent, Neymar Sr., as their new chief executive officer (CEO) in a move to strengthen the club’s management.
Neymar Sr. has played a key role in his son’s career and founded NR Sports, the agency that manages the Santos forward’s name and image rights.
According to Brazilian media reports, his contract runs until December, with the possibility of an extension if Santos’ president, Marcelo Teixeira, is re-elected next month.
Santos are ninth in the Brazilian Serie A standings, with 47 points from 34 matches.
