VIENNA, November 7. /TASS/. Russia’s retaliatory measures in response to a recent expulsion of its diplomats from the Austrian capital will be proportionate but painful for Vienna, Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Lyubinsky told TASS.
The diplomat noted that any unfriendly actions by the Austrian authorities towards Russia "have always received and will continue to receive a proportionate response from the Russian side. It will inevitably be painful for Vienna, but this is by no means our choice."
On October 23, four Russian diplomats were declared persona non grata in Austria and were ordered to leave the country.
