Two people have been critically injured and three others have minor injuries after a crash in Clutha.
Police say it happened just after midday Saturday on the Waipahi Highway, State Highway 1, near Webb Road.
On Friday afternoon, a person died in a collision between a car and tractor around seven kilometres northwest of Clinton.
In the North Island, State Highway 1 is blocked on Karapiro Road in Waikato, where Tirau Road meets Karapiro Road in Waipa.
