Several north Wellington schools have gone into lockdown this morning.

Onslow College, St Brigid’s School and Johnsonville School have announced their lockdowns this morning.

In a message on its website, Onslow College urged parents not to come to the school or phone “as you will not be attended to and this may cause disruption to the management of this incident and could potentially place yourselves and/or our staff and students’ safety at risk”.
