Russell Brand's wife is said to be planning to move back to the UK as her rapist husband soon starts a lengthy jail sentence.

Laura Gallacher, 39, has been described as "resolutely loyal" and is thought to be poised to return to Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, where she and Brand already have a property. Brand married the author and illustrator in 2017 and the couple moved to Florida, US, in 2024.

Laura stood by Brand throughout his trial, often pictured hand in hand with her partner as they arrived at Southwark crown court in London. Father-of-three Brand was found guilty of one count of rape and three charges of sexual assault, and will be sentenced on Monday.

But a friend said: "Her husband is a rapist and that will follow her everywhere she goes. But Laura is resolutely loyal to Russell and has been for a long time."
